Wastewater from industries such as petrochemicals and coal chemicals is characterized by high salinity, high organic substances content, complex composition, and extremely-tough treatment, imposing higher demands on advanced treatment, resource recovery, and stable compliance with discharge standards. Against the backdrop of growing emphasis on green manufacturing, water conservation and emission reduction goals, the chemical wastewater treatment is evolving beyond traditional compliance-oriented management into the resource recovery, energy efficiency optimization, and process innovation. Wastewater treatment technologies for the chemical extraction of oil, for the high-salinity wastewater from coal chemical processes, and technologies such as electrically driven membrane process, anaerobic ammonium oxidation (AAO), electrochemical desalination, and resource recovery are becoming the key research and application areas in the field of chemical wastewater treatment. Both industry insiders and technical institutions are paying key attention to how to achieve the efficient treatment and resource utilization under complex water quality conditions.
Aquatech China 2026 将于10月29日下午举办“能源化工废水处理与废水资源化技术创新论坛”。论坛将围绕化工废水深度处理、高盐废水资源化、电驱动膜技术、厌氧氨氧化及电化学处理工艺等内容展开交流，并邀请高校专家、科研机构、工程技术企业及化工行业代表共同参与，推动石油化工废水处理技术创新与工程应用落地。
Energy-Chemical Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery Innovation Forum will be held at Aquatech China on the afternoon of October 29th. Hot topics such as advanced treatment of chemical wastewater, resource recovery from high-salinity wastewater, electro-driven membrane technologies, anaerobic ammonium oxidation, and electrochemical treatment processes will be discussed at the forum. It will invite experts from universities, research institutes, and engineering companies, as well as the representatives from the chemical industry to participate collectively, fostering the technology innovation and engineering applications of petrochemical wastewater treatment technologies.

Daniele Strongone现任AWC®国际事业部总经理，常驻西班牙，负责欧洲、中东、印度及非洲（EMEIA）与亚太（APAC）区域业务。他同时担任Water Positive智库（Water Positive Think Tank）主席兼联合创始人。Daniele拥有意大利那不勒斯费德里科二世大学化学工程学士学位，以及西班牙圣地亚哥—德孔波斯特拉大学工程学院化学与生物过程工程硕士学位。他热衷于可持续发展，拥有在欧洲、澳大利亚、非洲及中东的丰富从业经历，涉足水处理行业多个领域，涵盖水处理化学品、设备、饮用水及污水处理项目管理，主导企业经营战略并推动营收增长。他最大的使命，是为水资源留下积极正向的影响。
Daniele Strongone is the General Manager of the Spain-based international division of AWC® looking after the EMEIA and APAC regions. He is also the President and co-founder of the Water Positive Think Tank. Daniele holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Napoli Federico II (Italy) and a Master’s Degree in Chemical and Bioprocesses Engineering from the Engineering School of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). With a passion for sustainability and experience in Europe, Australia, Africa and the Middle East, he has worked in several areas of the water treatment industry, including chemicals, equipment, drinking water and wastewater project management, leading business strategies and growing revenue. His biggest mission is to help leave a positive impact on the water resources.
